Blog 13: Le Senegal

a)Select 5 places from the videos and describe what you see?

1. Lac Rose: The lake water is red and full of tourists. The tourists seem to drive AMVs around the lake. 
2. Saly Portugal: It's a resort besides the beach. It has swimming pools and houses to live in. It also has small huts on the beach for the visitors to relax. 
3. La réserve de Bandia: It's a safari with many animals like monkeys, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, rhinos, etc. You can feed and pet the animals there, they are really friendly. 
4. Le désert de Lompoul: It's a desert and you can have rides on camels.
5. Kédougou- la cascade de Dindéfélo: There are waterfalls in the forest which are pretty high, however there are also some small ones.

b)Do some research about l'Ile de Gorée. What happened there?

• Small island just south of Cape Verde Peninsula, Senegal. One of the earliest European settlements in Western Africa and long served as an outpost for slave and other trading.   

c)Comment s'appelle le très grand arbre dans la video? qu'est ce qu'il représente?

• Le grand arbre s'appelle le Baobab. Il représente vie et positivité.
