Blog 13: Le Senegal

Blog 13

1a.
Lac Rose - I see many sailboats and a huge lake where people could swim in. I also see people riding in dune buggies across the sand beside the water.
Saly Portugal - I see a beautiful pool with stylish trees and homes made of limestone. Second, I notice a scenic beach that stretches a long way.
La réserve de Bandia- I recognize different types of wild animals such as monkeys, giraffes, zebras, alligators and ostriches.
Le désert de Lompoul - I observe a gigantic desert where people learn how to ride camels.
Parc des oiseaux - I witness an island of birds on a big lake. It is very photogenic and looks awesome on camera when all the birds start to fly together or in various directions over the lake.

b. I'lle de Gorée was the biggest slave trading center on the African coast for 4 centuries (1500-1900). It was ruled by the Portuguese, French, English and Dutch. It contains painful memories of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Right now, I'lle de Gorée is a pilgrimage destination and a space for forgiveness between cultures.

c. Il s'appelle les baobabs. À mon avis, il représente une belle nature. Aussi, il est unique parce qui et il n'ont pas de feuilles pour le neuf mois de l'année.
