Blog 13: Le Senegal

A. 
1. Dakar: a place in Africa with a beach, bilateral stairs, tropical tree, boats you can ride on, and has historic buildings.  
2. Saly Portudal: an amazing place with beautiful scenery, a pool, and a big beach.
3. La réserve de Bandia: a zoo where you can see a variety of animals like chimpanzees, a 6 foot giraffe, antelope, striped zebras, geese, crocodiles, and dark-grey rhinos. 
4. Saint-Louis: has a spectacular, developed bridge extension that glows in the night, ride on horses, go on boat rides, nice architecture, a huge cruise ship you can go on, and see a nice sunset.
5. Kédougou: has very nice green landscape with trees, surrounded by mountains, rough texture on rocks, and a waterfall.
6. Casamance: a place full of villages/huts, good architecture, and a beach.

B.
L'ile de Gorée is an island in Dakar.  It was one of the largest slave trade center in Africa from the 15th to 19th Century.  This island is the symbol of the slave trade representing it's suffering, tears, and death.  It has an excellent strategic position offering a safe place for anchoring ships, hence the name "Good Rade."

C.
Le nom du grand arbre est Les Baobabs.  Cet arbre représente des obstacles dans la vie.
