Blog 2: Ile de France

4 Places:
1. I would really like the go to the Louvre. The glass pyramid seems very intriguing and beautiful, especially when you're under it and the sunlight filters through.
2. Musee d'Orsay seems beautiful. Impressionism art is the line between strange modern art and old fashioned century art.

3. Amusement parks are never boring, it's interactive and there are many activities, so I would go to Le Parc Asterix.
4. La Tour Eiffel is the iconic French symbol (besides the fleur de lis). It looks beautiful, especially at night, and the streets around it seem dreamlike even in pictures.

3 Foods:
1. Escargots -- I'm actually very interested in discovering how they taste. Seeing as they're seasoned with butter and garlic, they can't be bad, though the texture might be strange.

2. Souffle -- Savory foods are the best foods, and souffle sounds delicious.
3. Soupe a l'oignon -- the traditional French onion, which I already love, so in France it would taste even better.


2 Activities:
1. I would like to sail boats in the La Jardin du Luxembourg. It seems fun and relaxing, especially with family or friends.
2. I want to go hiking in Fontainbleau. Hiking is an activity my family and I do a lot, and doing it in France might make things more interesting.

1 Historical Person:

A Parade on Champs-Elysees

1. Louis XIV, or La Roi Soleil. I want to know what he did during his reign, how much people liked him, whether he was a good ruler, and why he's called the Sun King.

1 Event:
1. There's an allusion the the Champs-Elysees in one of my favorite songs, and attending one of the parades that happen along it would make me very happy. I'd also get to learn more about the French culture.
